About

MacondoBits is a software company named for a place where the ordinary and the miraculous share a street.

MacondoBits takes its name from Macondo — the town in Gabriel García Márquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude, where yellow butterflies trail love and memory, and the everyday brushes against the impossible.

We build software the same way stories are told there: distinct chapters, each with its own weather. Our products are unrelated by category and ready to use when you find them. The yellow butterfly with circuit traces is our mark — nature and engineering sharing one wing.

We work from Colombia’s mountains and coastlines, shipping tools for people who need something that simply works.
